A tattoo artist I know drew a parody of a Chick tract in which a young man has a vision of death and the afterlife. St. Peter, god, et al. are covered in tattoos. When the young man returns from his vision he goes out and gets covered. It ends when a sign falls on him and his girlfriend and they party in heaven with a heavily tattooed god.
I’m a huge fan of chick tracts. There’s nothing quite like finding a Chick tract in the wild. Haven’t seen one in quite awhile. I used to live a block away from a rabid antiabortionist, who would occasionally go through the neighborhood and wedge them in our screen doors.
The trailer doesn’t do much for me, though. If it’s just a bunch of interviews with people who believe the same thing Chick does, I think I’ll pass. If I want random crazy, I’ll go to the Rapture Ready or Infowars web sites to get my fill.
I’ve seen the movie twice already on IFC (Independant Film Channel). It’s surprisingly un-biased, with opinions of both sides. They don’t pull any punches but present both sides of opinions about Chick. Very good documentary.
