As to the reason it’s so cryptic, it’s so they can change the dates around, thereby keep the “institution” intact.
Fortunately, after 2012, it seems there’s no big EOTW date. Maybe, when nothing happens on Winter Solstice 2012, we’ll see a precipitous drop in the number of maroons that believe in this crap.
Unless they make the prophecy self fulfilling. The real idiots may try to do that.

Exactly. And as the status quo keeps changing, the “meaning” of the revelation changes to fit the current climate, as each generation goes by with all the “signs” of an impending “second coming,” with no, um, “final money shot.” Which in turn requires another “fine tuning” of the revelation, and so on goes the madness.

And what’s with the revelation being so cryptic? This all loving and all knowing god couldn’t do any better than to provide very fuzzy, esoteric pictures of the end times, that only a few, like this joker, are gifted enough to recognize? Of course the original authors probably realized that it’s much easier to perpetuate a vague prophesy, as compared to one that is detailed and specific. What a great way to control others, and what a fantastic money making scam.

Closest translation I can find of logolalia, is ‘untranslatable’. Is that correct?
1 of my gifts (if you can call it that) is that I can usually understand what these people are on about.
