   Regarding your statement; perhaps something like the following might apply?:

   Okay, guys, I admit an assassination “plot” is a little over the top and likely not very effective anyway since I’m sure Bush was more of a puppet under the control of others than the “decider” he so stupidly coined to call himself. What a dope! Perhaps before too long Bush, along with the despicable others who arranged all the dominoes in a row, will be up on war crimes charges. Can I wish aloud for a similar end to Bush as Saddam Hussein saw? Is this permitted under free expression?
   At times life in this world gets mighty depressing when the rich and powerful are able to trample around, mashing the rest of us into the ground, with impunity.

   Never in a million years. Just look at the people who have had their freedom snatched away for expressing themselves in that way. The Secret Service are on them like flies on poo. So, as for freedom of expression…it is only freedom of expression within certain boundaries.

   As for the same end as Saddam saw, also never in a million years when concerning a U.S. President or anyone of public importance. They will just let them fade away with their shame. The common Joe (or Josephine) would see lethal injection for similar plots and schemes. It’s flabbergasting what Presidents and those in power get away with, and if they happen to be convicted, they stay are kept in comfort and their sentences are always much shorter than the common criminal.

   And the ultimate responsibility of the dumbass being elected not once, but TWICE comes down to the American voters who allowed him to be elected. Too many complacent people do not bother and then we get fucktards in charge. The first time he stole it, that’s obvious, but the second time people should have known better. So, they got what they voted for. And I know many, including the fundies in my extended family, who were not happy with him but voted for him anyway. Is most of America just that stupid? And I think they were voting with feelings when electing Obama and also disappointment in Bush. Let’s hope Obama can at least clean up some of the mess and not spend too much time and expense on Bush’s Faith Based bullshit, etc. Only time will tell. The whole world seems to like him.

   I wish I had a pair of shoes I was willing to waste on Bush. I’d make sure at least one of them hit the bastard.

   Stardust, in 2004, my grandmother said she hated Bush and everything he had done, regreted voting for him in 2000, said repeatedly she was not going to vote for him again, and 30 minutes after leaving the ballot box, called my mom in shame and said “I just did a bad thing.” She was a farm wife from rural NE who had never voted Democrat up till that point. And she went to her grave never voting for a Dem. To top it off, she continued giving money to the Republican party. My grandmother was not stupid–in fact she was very intelligent, and quite progressive considering her age, background, etc (OK with gays and premarrital sex, for example ). She was just afraid of having to pay more taxes, and she was afraid to step out of her comfort zone. In 2004, I think there were more “Bush supporters” like my grandmother than anyone wants to admit.

   And a lot of those people might have even voted him in for a third term if given the chance.

   “The whole world seems to like him.”

   Actually, I think the whole world is just deperate.

    The talk about Bush and assasinations brought me back to the documentary we just saw on Cuba and how Jeb Bush was directly invoved in the murders of 100s of innocent people in the airline bombings carried out by Exiled Cuban terrorists who GW to this day is friends with and protects, I wish I could remember the names of the 2 Terrorist ringleaders, GW said in a speech that any country or individual who aids terrorism in any way was itself a terrorist and there he is directly assisting terrorism while he was the Governor of Texarse and later as the President, for myself the greatest crime a person can do is HYPOCRISY, GW is the epitome of the mendacious hypocrite, a prevaricator and a Xian one at that although GW is without a doubt the most hideous Xian there is, he alone gives Xianism a bad bad bad name, I am convinced there will come a time when he Howard and Blair will be indited for crimes against humanity, like Hitler they are all worthy of the noose or a lethal injection, that they have bred and passed their evil genes on is in itself a crime against decency, as an Australian I am still ashamed of what Howard and his war criminal cabinet did and are still involved in……………………………….Fritzy I do not want to dis your Nan mate but anyone who votes for anyone because of taxes or to protect their capitalist agenda isn’t intelligent, their sad, my own parents are devout Howard suporters to this day and my mums pretty bright but she’s also a capitalist and therefore she sacrifices her moral integrity for the almighty buck, that’s Xianism’s big flaw, their obsession with money money money………

    I hate to say this again but we all reckon that Obama is going to die at the hands of extremist Xianists and someone said the other day that the ultra right aopocalypse crew apparently think that Obama is the messenger for their plan for the rapture nonsense, the holy land will descend into all out holy war, Obama doesn’t support the Jews, he gets shot, civil war breaks out in the US black against white, it triggers a world war, BINGO the apocalypse happens, that’s apparently what some of the Fundies here are all excited about, I have been taliking to a freak from Sydney whose got the Rapture site here, he is a dangerous mental sociopath without any social skill LOL you probably have truck loads of them there, this guy is totally SCARY, he and his arsewipe friends are as happy as a pig in shit, they want Obama dead big time…………..

    You know the reason that the reigious fundies are having all their own way is due to the extreme apathy and people to busy sitting around drinking lattes and waffling philosophical nonsense, here in Perth we have 130 odd members of our Atheist alliance and the campaign to lodge complaints to the London Transport authority to express our view point has attracted exactly 2 emails MINE and Tricia’s and yet theres 3 new posta today and long winded philosophical preaching to the converted commentaries about what is fundamentally just bullshit, everyone leaves it to Sam or Richard or someone else to stick their neck out or spend the time to write and challenge those who belittle us and slander us, it’s great coming here and having a yarn but it’s just aplace to let off a bit of steam it’s not doing fuck all to enlighten society to the alternative that Atheism can bring to help humanity, my poster project has again been vandalised by Xian Haters who have scrawled their messages of hate against Atheists but if these arsewipes saw the posters so did lots of other people who may have gone home and thought Yeah, you don’t need a god to be good I’ll be a good person anyway perhaps I’ll see what Atheism has to offer , we as a community do have an enormous amount of good to offer, we just have to get it out there and be willing to take a little flak, evil flourishes when good folk do nothing to stop it, how about you crew, what are you doing in a practical sense, hope I’m not being to much of an Idealist but perhaps the time for yakking is at an end and it’s time we got up, went to the window like in NETWORK and said I’ve had enough and I’m not going to take it anymore……….mmmmmmmmm I’m just firing up my printer and printing off a heap more stickers coz you know what, I’ve had enough and I’m not going to take it anymore……..

    I ate an Idealistic cookie this morning lol, anyway I got some more posters up and out, just finished watching a Documentary part 3 of the history of the Mormons, FUCK, a guy on friendly atheist was paying out on people for being negative about these freaks, he actually said they were just normal people like you and me, WTF, I new they were evil but there not evil their way beyond that, even imaginary devil wouldn’t be seen hanging around creatures that whack job, damn they inspire me to go hard and stop this crazy shit from getting a hold here in OZ, a good friend i work with Musicallyhas gone over to them, how does a country allow these evil bastards to flourish, Bush and the republicans are Mormon plants I reckon……………………..

    Your other comment hits home too. I agree with your assessment that “perhaps the time for yakking is at an end”; and the “Network” reference seems more timely than ever. I remember Michael Moore(?) using (suggesting) that theme during the 2004 GOP convention in New York, trying to get New Yorkers to actually open their windows and yell out a similar sentiment.
    It didn’t work…nobody responded. Bottom-line?…everybody’s too chicken shit, I guess. Understandable, I guess, considering what we were saying to Lynda about our government’s police state mentality.
    Along THAT line, I did a YouTube search RE those fabled secret American prison camps, supposedly setup, originally, during the Reagan years. All I got in the search were those rather popular “New World Order” pre-Armageddon Fundie fuckheads; almost gleefully thumping on about the End of Days as supposedly predicted in the Buybull.

    About the only thing that I do, working towards any change in people’s secular consciousness …beyond yapping here on GifS…is dropping comments with certain relatives that I’m in contact with. I was on Skype today with my most frequently “encountered” (and favorite) 1st cousin, a gal in New Jersey, who’s quite liberal, but still clings, somewhat, to her Lutheran upbringing; and I mentioned some of the things we’ve been discussing here. I chickened out naming the Site though. Maybe I’ll email the link to her. But then…she’ll be able to witness more clearly(?) the “real” Chuck…?
    One more item…
    Speaking of printing, Hoffy…how are printer ink cartridge prices in Australia? I have a Lexmark “All-in-one”; what a rip-off ink cartridge prices are in the states! You’re reminding me, however, to do a search on that notion.

    Thanks for the words of encouragement chuck, I use an epsom 9300 it’s pretty good $55 buys me a full set of 4 cartridges which does a shit load of a4s and 6×4 stickers that I do all the bus stops with, hey fuck them I say, if they wont put posters on their buses I’ll put em on their bus stops, I can’t believe how fast Xians and the Muslim fucks rip them down, but hey fuck them I just go put new ones up, I don’t even bother doing it at night anymore as I figure if the pigs grab me I’ll argue my case in court and try get some publicity, no one even noticed me today and I did it right opposite a major shopping centre, Todays post and Keith giving the drum on Bush really got me in Grrrrrrrrr mode, the sheer level of corruption is mind boggling, my HELL militant brother arrives in Perth shortly so we will be stepping it up, I get a little worried about fundies gettin violent but with Kim here he can fuck them over, he has no compuction about inficting a drop of biffo on fundies if we are attacked, sounds very base but this isn’t a fuckin picnic anymore, anyone who thinks that fundies won’t do a Nazi trip on us, gays, aboriginals etc is seriously under estimating how dangerous they are,, as I said today’s post has got me in action mode, bring it on I say……………..
