So much more, indeed, can be said through the use of humor.
And nobody does it better, especially these days, than Colbert…
and Jon Stewart.
And “nobody really gets hurt” in the process…?
Well…
except for, possibly, some sore stomach muscles…from laughing too hard!
You really can’t say enough about Colbert. He stays in character and yet conducts interesting, insightful interviews that are funny. I don’t know how he does it. The guy is stupendously fast on his feet. I know he has a talented staff of writers behind him, but those interviews are all him.
Jesus Fucking Christ on a Cracker, you’d think Sarah Palin had a port wine birth mark resembling the Virgin Mary in the middle of her forehead, the way the Conservatards are rallying around her!
Kudos to Kathleen Parker for speaking out against the tide.
Robert Greenwald is scheduled to be on Colbert on Thursday night. That should be a good watch, too. Of course, to me, any Colbert episode is fun; so is Jon Stewart.
AUM, I think rethuglcans would be more supportive of abortion if they could somehow root out all the liberal fetuses. Or anyone whose indoctrination wasn’t going to take permanently.
I agree with Kathleen Parker on very little, but I can admit I’ve always thought she had a little more integrity than must Coservative pundits. I’ve respected her ever since she wrote an entirely respectful and gracious eulogy to the late great Molly Ivans.
And really, as Parker points out here, what varacious individual of even modest intellect could really state, in honesty, that they would trust Caribou Barbie to be able to take on the responsibilities of the POTUS?

Wait.. someone wished she had been aborted? I thought Repubs were all against abortion.
Is this another example of being against something so long as you agree with them, otherwise it’s okay? For example, drug use?
