Scientology Vs. Psychiatry: What’s Big Dispute, Anyways?
28 September 2008 by KAI trust it’s no secret that I detest Scientology. As religions go, it lacks a great deal in cohesiveness, critical thinking, and I think it safe to say, the practitioners of it are pretty much close to rabid dogs.
One of the main staples of the Xenuphiles is the anti-psychiatry movement. In fact, they even accuse psychiatry of having induced the 9/11 attack. Oh yeah, they blame Hitler on psychiatry too. In fact, the woes of the world entire can be laid squarely to rest at the feet of psychiatry.
Is it me, or is this sounding…eerily familiar?
I chanced across a copy of Freedom a couple of weeks ago, and began reading it, not noticing the ‘published by the church of Scientology’ header in small print in the upper right-hand corner.
(On a side note, if you read one of their ‘articles’ on the website, you’ll notice that any citations that come at the end of it, are just pointers to the article you just read. Religious folks sure have a thing for repetitive circularity, don’t they?)
So, here’s the skinny, the poop, the scoop, on why these Xenubites loath this profession:
Maw Confederation
The Maw Confederation are from “the Sixty-third Galaxy”, says Hubbard in Aberration and The Sixth Dynamic, and they practiced “total psychiatric control” by pushing people’s faces into supercooled sheets of glass. Hubbard claims this so-called “method of brainwashing” was developed about five billion years ago by a “whole-track psychiatrist”. (Hubbard, Aberration and The Sixth Dynamic, catalog #5611C13 15ACC-22)
And these people want to be taken seriously?
For more general hilarity:
Aliens in ancient Egypt. Hubbard maintained that ancient Egypt was “a battleground between two space groups” who infiltrated humanity and become integral to Egyptian culture. (What is Knowable to the PC, 1961) In Responsibility and the State of OT, he claimed that the biblical Moses had a “disintegrator pistol”, and also said:
“Ancient Egypt, if you care to look it up on the track, was a combination of Earth and space opera all mixed up as one. As the high Pharaoh stands on the side of the pyramid and blesses the multitude, he has to be careful that his cloak doesn’t blow aside and reveal his ray gun.”
Wow – so who knew that Hubbard actually had an original idea that resulted in a so-so space opera TV show?
The other fact under consideration, is that Hubbard actually lifted the techniques of psychiatry in order to found his ugly little cult. (True, the article linked to has spelling errors, and a little too much anti-communism fervor, but it makes a solid point.)
For those of you with investigative interests, here’s two anti-Scamatologist websites to peruse at your leisure.
A vivid imagination is a healthy thing, as long as it doesn’t dictate to you or others how to live.
Till the next post, then.

28 September 2008, on 1:01 pm
Wow. I guess they couldn’t leave it alone with hysterically ancient aliens, they have to pollute the Egyptians with Danakin-esque BS?
I think scientologists have it in for psychiatry for two reasons: 1) Hubbard was delusional, paranoid, and probably several other things, and he hated psychiatrists, so his followers do as well. 2) If a scientologist went to a psychiatrist, they might be diagnosed as crazy, as opposed to just being thought of as crazy by the population that knows what they believe. Maybe an “official” stamp scares them more?
28 September 2008, on 1:23 pm
Actually, 99 percent of Scientologists do NOT believe – or even know about – the stuff you mentioned above. Hubbard did a lot of sci-fi-based riffing on “Whole Track” past-life space opera incidents during his lectures in the 50’s and 60’s, but they were mainly intended to illustrate points he was making, not to preach “ufo cult” dogma. If you listen to the actual recordings of these lectures, the audience – comprised of Scientologists and Dianeticists- is laughing right along with him when he makes these wild, colorful, hyperbolic anecdotes in passing.
Even if, for sake of argument, Hubbard was genuinely serious about these things, they’re part of his own personal private ‘Whole Track’ thoughts and are not part of the Scientology religion. Hubbard’s preference for tea isn’t part of the religion either, nor are observations he may have made during lectures about TV shows or politics or fabrics for his suits. Not everything that came from LRH’s mouth is a tenet of the Churches of Scientology.
So what ARE the basic Scientology tenets? They are here and here and here.
28 September 2008, on 3:42 pm
Crystalfrost:
Seeing as the info was freely available, why not? Took a minute to find.
So, pray tell, what exactly was the point of emperor Xenu, 75 billion years ago, souls encased in ice & dropped in a volcano, & even the ‘by pushing people’s faces into supercooled sheets of glass’? So now you’re hollering ‘allegory’? How typical.
So, we didn’t evolve from clams, there’s no UFO epistemology, even though sufficient sources abound on the web to contradict that claim? Please.
Do explain the ‘anti-psychiatry’ slant, if you’d be so kind.
28 September 2008, on 5:12 pm
Crystalfrost
And all that Scamatology learning and service is available free to anyone, right? No need to at the lowest level? And why didn’t you include the official Scientology website?
28 September 2008, on 7:05 pm
Crystalfrost;
Even if most of Hubbards stories were meant as allegorical, Scamatology is still dellusional, crazy and dangerous. Just the very fact that they are so gratuitously litigious and appear afraid of even the most diplomatic criticism speaks volumes.
28 September 2008, on 8:50 pm
Crystalfrost is very much like the typical fundamentalist Christian (she admits to still cling to some of her Christianity) with her own version of what L.Ron really meant, what Scientology really means (according to her own views and what she chooses to make of it), and if you read her website she also goes into persecution mode just like a Christian when criticized.
Crystalfrost is in the process of brainwashing herself with her very own Scientology room, I see she is keeping the money flowing into the scam.
28 September 2008, on 8:50 pm
Crystalfrost is trolling blogs for Scientology. Leaving deadly links. Irritating and insulting folks and leaving Black PR about Anonymous. S/he’s the new name for the Scilon Blog Patrol, Foot Bullet Division.
28 September 2008, on 8:56 pm
Marg, ^^ I figured as much. Just like fundamentalist Xians, they have to run around frantically defending their lunatic beliefs.
28 September 2008, on 9:35 pm
Gee, for a religion that doesn’t have central teachings related to space aliens, they sure do spend a lot of time trying to get rid of “body thetans”.
Seriously, ‘Crystalfrost’, OTIII-OTVII is all about body thetans, those annoying brainwashed extraterrestrial spirits that have attached themselves to you and require auditing. First you audit every traumatic experience from this life (including prenatal experiences), then you audit every traumatic experience from past lives, and then you start auditing the unfortunate victims of an intergalactic Holocaust stuck to your body.
All this is central to the Church of Scientology. Maybe you need to re-read KSW.
29 September 2008, on 2:17 am
I’m not a fan of the L. Ron set. I lived in East Hollywood a few years ago and they had taken over too much real estate.
On the other hand they did have a point that the psychiatrists are drugging kids too much for stuff that is pretty much normal kid levels of activity.
I’m a lesbian and psychiatry has a bad reputation with many LGBT folks too. The turned what the religious saw as an abomination into a mental illness for L/G people that they only did away with some 35 years ago. Transsexual and transgender people are still in there.
I’ve been reading Naomi Klein’s “The Shock Doctrine” and came across a chapter called “The Torture Lab”. Then there has long been the practice both in the old USSR and even in the US of treating political dissidents as psychiatric cases. Or the role psychiatrists are playing in the torture of those who have been renditioned.
As much as I think Scientology is a stupid cult I also find psychiatry to often times more closely resemble a cult than a science and as such it too often has a record of human rights abuses.

WHAT IS THE SECRET THAT THE “ANTI-GOD CULT” CALLED “SCIENTOLOGY” FEARS THE MOST FROM BEING EXPOSED?
The secret most un-exposed about Scientology is that is it an “Applied Physiological Philosophy” rather than an “Applied Religious Philosophy”. All Scientology courses, all auditing processes, and all the management and professional courses are based on physiological phenomenas, psychophysiology, emotions, human behavior patterns etc., that are our birth right and used in Scientology as their own discoveries. Even their PTS-SP data is based upon how a “Symptom” re-stimulation is brought out by physiological reactions of the mind affecting the body when under stress. They blame innocent human beings called by them “suppressive persons” for bringing out a symptom that was there to warn you of hidden real illnesses caused by non-suppressive sources such as parasites, chemicals, poisons, toxins, viruses and bacteria. The data on PTS-SP is twisted by them to blame innocent people in order to keep them in line.
The only way to fight the “Greatest Scam on Earth” is to expose to the world–how Scientology has used physiological phenomenas as the basis for a false religion. How it has harmed families by claiming that innocent mothers and fathers are SPs — when they lied about symptom re-stimulations to the world.
No where in Scientology will you find courses or services on any bible, there is no study or belief in heaven, hell, saints, angels, the devil, or even God himself. They do not study religion or even believe in religions. They do not share common values with any other religion. Their goal is to eliminate all other religions.
Because of its many crimes against humanity, the cult of Scientology does not and never had the moral, religious or political right to be called a true “Church”.
The E-meter reads your physiological reactions, the Ronbots never calls it that—they call it the “CHARGE” or the “MASS” or “ENGRAMS” OR “MENTAL IMAGE PICTURES” that you have in your brain—all meant to distract you from the truth.
Know this fact — There is a law of Nature or law of God called “Physiological Reactions” that is the true secret behind Scientology’s Dianectic study technology.
AUDITING ERASES AND LESSONS YOUR PHYSIOLOGICAL REACTIONS!!! Once they are gone – your symptoms can’t be re-stimulated by stress or arguments. This is NOT a good thing, because ALL doctors depend on symptoms to guide them in treating you! This is why they prohibit you from seeing the doctors of your choice!!! Understand now how the scam works? Now when you argue with your mother and don’t get sick – you think she was the cause of all your illnesses.
If you were audited a hundred times over and over again (repetitive auditing) for a word that you were ordered to never clear or understand, and then made to read a page that contained that word—it would never again read on the Emeter or cause a physiological reaction.
Both Psychiatry and Scientology treats the symptoms of the mind and not the real causes of mental illnesses, one with drugs and one with erasing physiological reactions called Engrams or mental image pictures! Which one is worst? Drugs you can stop, but the other is irreversible and also a dangerous and deadly scam.
With the knowledge about physiological reactions as the base of Scientology, contained here, psychiatry will defeat $cientology easily.
LRH discovered that when you passed a misunderstood word—you manifested many reactions of various types: Yawning, sleepiness, not there feeling, dizziness, blurry eyes, nervousness and dozens more.
Being the liar that he was, he claimed that physiological reactions which he now calls “Dianetics” was “‘his” invention and not a law of God; he hid the fact that it is our human inheritance since time began.
Granted that his power of obnosis (observation) was the best in the world, his crime against humanity was to make a “religion” based upon the falsehood, that it was his very own invention or creation and not a law of God belonging to all Humanity as their lawful right.
For proof that the Cult has lied to you: — Google “L. Ron Hubbard and Physiological Reactions” or visit their own Godless websites:

LRH used God’s Natural laws to make slaves of mankind!
“So long as a physiological phenomenon remains the knowledge of a few and is denied to the many it can be utilized to control the many.” LRH (from Journal of Scientology Issue 4-G from Oct. 1952)
“This universe has long been looking for new ways to make slaves. Well, we’ve got some new ways to make slaves here.” LRH (from PDC tape lecture #20 “Formative State of Scientology, Definition of Logic”, given on 6 Dec 52)
“All men shall be my slaves! LRH
All women shall submit to my charms! LRH
All mankind shall grovel at my feet and not know why!” [L. Ron Hubbard, "Affirmations", late 1940s] Affirmations, exhibits 500-4D, E, F & G. See Church of Scientology v Armstrong, transcript volume 11, p.1886.
“Somebody some day will say ‘this is illegal’.
By then be sure the orgs say what is legal or not.”
L. Ron Hubbard, HCOPL 4 January 1966
“THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN CONTROL PEOPLE IS TO LIE TO THEM”. You can write that down in your book in great big letters. The only way you can control anybody is to lie to them.” – L. Ron Hubbard, “Off the Time Track,” lecture of June 1952, excerpted in JOURNAL OF SCIENTOLOGY issue 18-G, reprinted in TECHNICAL VOLUMES OF DIANETICS & SCIENTOLOGY, vol. 1, p. 418
“Scientology…is not a religion.” – L. Ron Hubbard, CREATION OF HUMAN ABILITY, 1954, p. 251
LRH SAID SO HIMSELF!!! — SCIENTOLOGY IS NOT A RELIGION!!!! HE WANTS TO ENSLAVE ALL MANKIND! HE WANTED TO KILL TWO PERCENT OF THE WORLD, WHO WAS/IS BELOW 2.0 ON THEIR TONE SCALE “QUIETLY AND WITHOUT SORROW.” THAT IS SCIENTOLOGY’S PRESENT AND FUTURE GOALS!!!
WHAT MORE PROOF DO YOU NEED?
L. Ron Hubbard’s religion before he discovered physiological reactions was “Satanism”.
He wanted to invent a new religion masked as being good, but in fact its goals were totally evil so that he could take his place on the “Throne of the Beast,” which he firmly believed himself to be the rightful heir. Being an evil Satanist he wanted to destroy all other religions and have Scientology as the only religion left on Earth. He wanted to be the RULER of the NEW WORLD ORDER and sit on the Throne of the Beast.
All living beings have physiological (The functions and activities of life or of living matter such as the organic processes of organs, tissues, or cells) phenomenas (observable reactions known through the senses rather than by thought or intuition), or physical manifestations (made evident by showing or displaying) or physical reactions, that we see or feel as symptoms, and they are external and/or internal or visible signs or warnings given to us, by our creator to help us survive, help us increase our potential, our knowledge and our health.
All life on Earth has these cause and effect reactions called physiological phenomenas. All living beings whether they are plant, insect, retile or animal or human could not live without these reactions. They influence the body’s and the mind’s reactions to any form of stimuli, and have an influence on every cell of the body and mind.
[Noun. Physiological reaction – Is an automatic instinctive unlearned reaction to a stimulus.]
[Examples of physiological reactions: inborn reflex, innate reflex, instinctive reflex, reflex response, unconditioned reflex, accommodation reflex, Babinski reflex, belching, headache, migraines, swelling, sweating, erections, blinking, blushing, burping, defecation reflex, disgorgement, involuntary eye blinking, farting, skin flush, gag reflex, goose bump, goose pimple, gooseflesh, involuntary gulping, involuntary hiccup, knee-jerk reflex, light reflex, puking, papillary reflex, rectal reflex, regurgitation, shaking, shiver, shock, sneezing, startle, stretch reflex, suckling reflex, trembling, upset stomach, vomiting, involuntary winking, yawn, yawning -- plus hundreds more.]
Ron studied Physiological reactions more than most scientists and applied it to invent a new Religion.
He did not invent but copied the laws of nature and scammed the whole world into thinking that he alone discovered these reactions and no one else did. What he did do – was noticed the reactions of students and from this scam invented Dianetics “study tech”.
Examples of Physiological reactions of the body and mind when reading:
Falling asleep while reading – yawning, confusion, feeling blank, feeling anxious, not there feeling, tearing eyes, eyes going out of focus, dizziness, reeling, rebelliousness, headaches, skipping words, feeling nauseous, fidgeting, jumpy while reading, can’t stay still, mispronouncing words, feeling as if you are squashed, feeling as if you are over-whelmed, twitching, can’t apply what you are reading, can’t understand what you are reading, etc. are all due to physiological reactions when you read misunderstood words or misunderstood definitions.
The Cult’s method of healing called “Touch Assist” is nothing more than erasing the physiological reactions of PAIN. Physiological reactions are the clues from the law of God called “The Law of Cause and Effect”; for every action there is a reaction. A complete understanding of these two laws of God can be used to learn to self-heal.
To understand the sinful secrets of your enemy –is to know exactly where to hurt him.
Scientology’s copyrighted files on based upon the laws of Nature and laws of God; they are in violation of copyrights and patent rights. Therefore, the contents or subjects can be used by anyone and can be talked about without fear of any lawsuit.
Another scam hidden from the World is the Cult’s deal with the IRS, When LRH died he surrendered his writings to ex-IRS agents to keep Scientology alive for ever. The Cult’s Copyrights are now the property of US Federal government. So Scientology is the only religion that is owned by the IRS. But the fact is that the IRS is owned and/or controlled by the Federal Reserve—which we are all slaves to.
Everything you do produces a reaction in your body and mind. Every time you read, eat, sleep, rest, run, etc. produces a reaction.
To tell your mother that you invented a new religion, because you discovered why you farted, is a good example of the scam that Ron pulled on you. He got away with it because the world did not see these reactions as they applied to reading. Or if some scientist saw and knew it—he did not protest it and allowed a Cult to claim it as their own new discovery.
If you want to destroy the cult, study your own reactions each time you do something—learn to read yourself and use your own power of obnosis to discover the real world within and around you.
Yours truly

THE ETERNAL FIGHT BETWEEN RONBOTS AND RONBOT-HUNTERS WILL NEVER END!
The Scientologists still under the mind control of the anti-God Cult’s Ronbot staff, still have not received full disclosure on the facts that Ex-Scientologists now know about THE GREATEST SCAM ON EARTH!!.
The Ronbots still in the Anti-God Cult are not allowed to question ANYTHING and are not allowed to research anything. Yet they are encouraged under the Fair-Game policy to hurt, harm, sue, slander, attack, hit, abuse, libel, lie, scam, rob, etc. or even kill Ex-Scientologists or their own families who dare to expose the facts and the truth.
These Ronbots—now called ZOMBIES AND SCILONS by the non-ex-scientology public, are used as sacrificial lambs by the Cult to open groundless and frivolous lawsuits only designed to destroy and make the ex-Scientologists and the public afraid to expose them.
But “Ronbot Hunters” or “Zombie Hunters” are now learning how to fight back to stop and destroy the Godless Ronbots — who allowed un-ethical lawsuits to be made in their names.
The Ronbots use the anti-God “Fair-Game” policy to destroy Ex-Scientologists, innocent mothers and fathers and now Ronbot Hunters are learning to use the Constitution and Commercial laws and remedies, contract laws and the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) to protect their rights.
THE ETERNAL FIGHT OF GOOD VS. EVIL HAS A NEW FACE.
The fact that fanatical Ronbots are not allowed to read what they will or desire, tells you that the Cult fears knowledge of the truth.
But the truth can only be exposed by “the statements of the majority”, with personal first hand knowledge of Scientology.
Since Ronbots never know all the facts, their statements in defense of the Cult is biased, because they are prohibited from research of the facts – their opinions are also invalid.
To learn the truth — you must learn what the MAJORITY of free-minded Ex-Scientologists claim.
They claim this well known fact—that the Church of Scientology is a GODLESS CULT.
They also claim that the Study technology of Dianetics was stolen from two laws of nature. Physiological Reactions and the laws of Cause and Effect.
This evil anti-god cult has its own Navy and armed bases, CIA type agencies, saboteurs, assassins, bullies to hit and set you up, infiltrators and spies in other churches and in the government. They have brain-washed Ronbots with weapons of mass destruction (fully automatic) just ready to blow you away. They are dangerous to all mankind and to all real religions of the world.
Do not fear to learn what both sides have to say on any issue. Always seek full disclosure on everything.
Read what Ex-Scientologists have to say, find out what the MAJORITY CLAIMS.
Find the truth and never allow others to tell you what to think, do or say. Always seek out the truth — even if you will be fired or kicked-out from the Cult.
Don’t be a ZOMBIE – use your own self-determinism –dare to demand the truth!!!
FREEDON OF RELIGION — IS ALSO FREEDOM TO LEARN THE TRUTH.
Sincerely yours,
Ronbothunter

I think it’s beyond sad that a psychotic schizophrenic managed to scam and cheat so many people in the first place.
Of course the guy hated psychiatry. He was insane. He was diagnosed as such. He was committed on one or two occasions and had the IRS chasing him when he wasn’t. Being a paranoid, delusional nut job he just incorporated his personal hallucinations into his personal problems and voila. Instant cult mythos.
Psychiatrists are bad, aliens are after all of us but if you give us your money and work for us for free you’ll be popular and famous and rich and safe. Really. [He certainly had the fundamentals of religious bullshit down anyway].
Hubbard created scamology as a way of escaping taxes. It was intended to make a ton of money and avoid any kind of taxation or govt. oversight by calling it a ‘religion’. Then of course there was the scamaology infiltration of the IRS that helped get them their “tax exempt” status.
Psychiatry may have it’s problems. I expect every profession does. I have yet to find a doctor in this one horse town that isn’t a self centered misogynist jackass but that doesn’t mean I think medicine is evil and should be avoided.
I expect scamology’s avoidance of psychiatry has more to do with what Badger3k said. They’re afraid that their members will be ‘cured’ of their delusions and there’ll be no one left to scam money from.
I’ve always been impressed that Germany kicked their worthless cult asses out.

Excuse the double post but I just happened upon this and thought it was relevant.

“Travolta’s attack on BBC man in Scientology expose”
And here’s a report from the man the cult is now attacking for further exposing them.
“John Sweeney explains: Row over Scientology video”

Seems to me that scamology is where crazy people convince other crazy people they’ll not appear crazy any more if they join the cult and continue playing along with the charade.

No where in Scientology will you find courses or services on any bible, there is no study or belief in heaven, hell, saints, angels, the devil, or even God himself. They do not study religion or even believe in religions. They do not share common values with any other religion. Their goal is to eliminate all other religions.
Ronbothunter, (Holy crap, those are two quite long-winded and wild rants!)
All religions believe they are the “True Religions”. It is this way in which Scientology is like all the rest. It’s based on imagination and fantasy. The god of Scientology simply has another name, Xenu. The thetans are devils or whatever, there is a symbolic hell, and then a place for those to be saved. It’s all the same plot, different characters and places. Therefore, they do share common values with other religions since those values are human values according to human thought and teachings. The goal of Christianity is to eliminate all other religions, the goal of Islam is to eliminate all other religions.
All religions are fictional. Bizarre. All are invented in the imaginations of human beings. And too many human beings are suckers for these beliefs. Gods are for suckers. All religions are “GODLESS CULTS” because there are no gods, goddesses, thetans, etc. etc.

Our Lady, thanks for the links. Those Scientologists have an even bigger persecution complex than Christians and if they must follow folks who diss their religion around in cars and harass people, then they are PSYCHO. No wonder they are all against psychiatry. If they are all evaluated they may end up being locked up in a mental institution. These people are absolutely insane and seemingly dangerous.
29 September 2008, on 12:57 pm
Stardust,
I happen rather to like Stargate SG-1.
A friend of mine, when in college, decided to hack the Scientologists. He took their little personality exam, and at the end of it, they told him that he was “too happy.” When he asked what was wrong with that, they told him some nonsense about needed an appropriate balance, and of course, their religion would provide just the ticket.

Krystalline Apostate:
Scienshitology is just more religious bunkum. They are in most regards interchangeable with other myth based ponzi schemes.

Me thinks that self-styled ‘Pastor ronbothunter” is a Xtian Fundie troll in (rather poor) disguise!
What with all the “Natural Laws of Gob” bullshit and references to “Satanism”, Throne of the Beast, belief in heaven, hell, saints, angels, the devil, (and of course) even Gob himself.”
Hey “ronbothunter” fuckhead…If you didn’t notice…for one thing; we’re not Scientologists…
Yeah…this IS an atheist Site…Fuck you and your drive-by preaching!
READ THE COMMENT POLICY!
You’re really wasting your “copy/paste” bullshit rant on the wrong crowd.
Speaking of “All Rights Reserved”…
I reserve MY Right to say:
[What!..."Copy/paste this"?]…
“Shove your not-so-hidden Copyrighted Christian agenda up your ass!”
29 September 2008, on 4:45 pm
ChuckA, yep…Ronbothunter is obviously a fundie troll.
A xian fundie troll and a Scientology troll in the same thread and one is just as nutty as the other.
29 September 2008, on 5:25 pm
Erm…I found ronbot in the mediation queue and assumed he got caught there for the multiple links he had in his first diatribe. I confess that I merely glanced at his rantings and didn’t really read them. Some things struck me as points others might have some fun stomping on a bit, but again, I wasn’t really paying much attention, as I was on my way to somewhere else and dashing in here rather quickly. I’ll be more careful in the future. My apologies.
29 September 2008, on 5:46 pm
That’s okay, Karen. Just shows that we do have trolls who are lurking around and interested in our site. Maybe they will see the light? Funny how fundies are so obsessed with atheist blogs. I never go to Xian blogs unless a Xian comments here and leaves a link and I just look to see just how crazy they are and maybe will supply me with material.
29 September 2008, on 6:12 pm
On the other hand, it’s a shame Crystalfrost didn’t hang around to take on Ronbothunter; I’d much rather see fundies attacking each other than us atheists. So much safer, too, if they’d just finish each other off and leave us in peace to pursue progress, including improvements to the field of psychiatry.
I kind of like Stargate SG-1 too – but KA, you have to admit it’s better sci-fi than shamology. I mean, brainwashing aliens by pushing their faces into plates of glass – I’m more a fantasy than sci-fi writer, and I could come up with something better than that…
29 September 2008, on 6:21 pm
Stardust,
I happen rather to like Stargate SG-1.
GDad, I think you are confusing me with KA who is the author of this post.

Wow, there’s 1 for the books.
1st, we get a Scatatologist’s apologia, then bombarded w/a religious anti-scat bot. Wow.
Eve:
For the record, I said Stargate SG1 was so-so. It had some good episodes, some bad episodes, & not a huge fan of Anderson. But yes, it beats Elron Hubbard hands down.
Stargate Atlantis, however, thoroughly blows.

Stardust and KA,
My apologies for the conflation. I’ve been trying to give up caffeine lately, and my powers of observation have suffered accordingly.
