The first thing that came to my mind reading your comment was personal memories of spending quite a bit of time in Oklahoma when I was traveling with a musical (Lounge style) group back in early 1970. We played clubs in the 'usual' places...Okla. City, Lawton's then "Purple Bunny Club" (Our drummer referred to Lawton as the "Armpit of the Nation"...his ex-military Sargeant was stationed there!), Muskogee (where I KNOW they, and I & some band members, DID smoke a good deal of Maregeewana!). I have additional "fond" memories of spending a night, totally alone, hugging the floor of the drunk tank in Tulsa's Ultra high class jail. Nothing too serious...I was stopped for drunk driving on my way to a gal friends pad. NICE, huh? Yeah... "Those were the days (daze)!" OK...that said...my point, REALLY, is that, I'm so glad you embedded your Site link with your comment name. I had a nice conversation with a more liberal Catholic, though staunch Republican. His argument against abortions and gay marriage was "Well, there is more of us than you, so there." When I asked what if the shoe was on the other foot he smugly replied, "I don't have to worry about that, it's your problem." The Republican way: God damn you for having sex out of wedlock (or at least getting caught), but you can't have an abortion. And we aren't offering to adopt your abomination, and we want to cut welfare and social aid, so your going to have to give that kid nothing, and then explain that the reason their life sucks was because you couldn't keep your legs together.
