Honey, if you think marrying a guy will automatically make sex with him “exciting,” then someone’s been lying to you. And if that’s the kind of pressure you put on each other for your first time, I’d hate to be in either one’s shoes on your wedding night. Odds are he won’t be able to perform and even if he does, you’ll return from the experience wondering why your toes didn’t curl up.

Now, that’s just silly; making sure comprehensive sex education includes information on contraception methods and doesn’t just talk about abstinence does not automatically lead to people “sleeping around.” Newsflash: they’re doing it already without that knowledge. Making sure teens are as well informed as possible on all aspects of sexuality, especially how to protect themselves and their partners, can only lead to more reasoned choices and safer practices, which in turn decrease the spread of STDs, unplanned pregnancies, and abortions.

You didn’t read the article, did you, Angel? If you did, you would have learned that abstinence-only sex ed programs do *not* stop premarital sex, disease, or unwanted pregnancies. Check it out.

No problem. It cracks me up when people don’t read the whole thread and then get upset that we didn’t respond to their questions. Maybe if they had read the whole thread, they would realize the question had been answered before they asked it.
