Problem is, Hank, we're "equal" but not "alike;" both parties do not get pregnant, only the female does. This means that biologically, whether any of us likes it or not, *she* gets the last word in deciding what to do about her pregnancy for the simple reason that it's taking place inside *her body,* not his. Which means that they both have to live with *her* final decision in one way or another. Heck, even if she's the one who wants to have the child and wins her court case forcing her partner to provide child support, and he decides that it's "unfair" and runs away to another country to avoid the legal consequences, neither one can escape the fact that they had a child together - and it was *her* decision to bring it into the world. And even in this scenario, he gets the longer end of the stick: he gets to run away. Quite frankly, I'm surprised more women in this situation don't follow his example and simply walk out on their kids, although unfortunately it happens. I think it's a credit to our gender that even without planning it or any outside support, so many women shoulder the burden of single motherhood and just keep on truckin' any way they can. Maybe, but there were plenty of ways to avoid knocking her up. Is this the same argument used against women's reproductive rights? Yep. It sounds very logical. If a woman can chose whether or not to have a kid, shouldn't (poor, oppressed and abused *snort, chuckle, guffaw*) men be able to chose whether or not they will participate if she choses to have it? However, sane people agree that an abortion is not child neglect. There is no child. This is not remotely the same choice as a man has deciding that keeping his money is more important then a human being he helped create. If that child lived with this man and he provided nothing that would be child neglect, for which he would be jailed. But suddenly, all responsibility is erased if it doesn't? Sounds flaccid and flimsy to me. All that aside, even if this is the one area where men are (finally) not in total control, all I have to say is - welcome to our world. Not fun, is it. Hank:

Shit, cancer has killed half of my damn family, and most of them didn't smoke or work around nuclear power plants or anything. That's just one genetic fuck up in my family, there's alzheimers, kidney problems up the whazoo, some sort of weird ass dementia shit, seems like everyone who's made it past the age of 60 so far has damn diabetes. I'm not trying to scare you guys, but I'm saying that, with my family, I'm fucked. YOU'RE INDOCTRINATING HIM NOW AND HE'S GONNA HAVE TO FIGHT HIS WAY OUT LATER. Nice. Fuckin'-A bubba. You go get 'em. Although their blog is down for some reason (Someone, I wouldn't be surprised, probably reported them to Hatewatch and Blogger is doing some investigating). That tangerine looks radioactive!!!! I like the look of shock on the guy's face- heh! Sean,

They mutually decide on a birth control method. They also agree that if she gets pregnant she will have an abortion. She gets pregnant (it happens). One of the parties changes their mind and wants to have the baby. The other says "No way. We agreed not to have children". Should one party be able to force motherhood/fatherhood and all its obligations on the other party against her/his wishes? Here’s a question for those of you against the Dubay child support case:
