Katrina group shrug
2 March 2006 by Sean
As long as we are off-topic a bit… Has this amazing footage obtained and released today by the AP vindicated Michael Brown, or proved that he failed to lead FEMA in the run-up to Katrina? Or did Bush’s staff fail completely to listen to what Brown and FEMA were saying?
No matter how you look at it, one thing is for sure: bureaucracy reigned. Listen to these guys babble their bureaucrat-speak while this monster storm came ashore. (Video clips in the left column on Yahoo, under “Related Video”)
Plus, in that clip “Bush Speaks to Brown” could Dumbass thank any more government agents (including his own brother) or use the word “folks” more often in one breath?
Dumb fucking born-again Xian fucknozzle.

Why is it that nearly everything this guy does and says is based on a lie. They all knew that the levees would/could break. Hopefully he is not so reatarded to pose a direct risk to the US just to prove that we need him and his admin. This has got to be the worst of all Political coups in any democracy since time began.

What it shows is that Bush is a lot like God. He finds out that “Nature” or humans are about to f$%^ up on a grand scale, and everyone looks to Him to save their sorry asses, and he goes off to raise money for another mega-church and learn to play cosmic guitar. Then when His followers get slammed, they blame themselves for not praying hard enough or the gays/liberals for incurring the wrath of their diety, or just accept it as the will of God/Bush the inscrutable.
In nations where people aren’t so overcome with fantasy religions, they vote out bastards like Bush. Not here. We can’t even get the opposition party to actually oppose.

“We can’t even get the opposition party to actually oppose.”
Because they know as well as we all do that if they don’t lick the collective theist asshole, they won’t get elected. Dems are religious to, tragically.

I watched the video on C&L. This part rankled my, well, whatever it is that gets rankled:
“I want to assure the folks at the state level, that, uh, we are fully prepared to not only help you during the storm, but we will move in whatever resources and assets we have at our disposal after the storm to help you deal with uh, uh, with the loss of property, and, and we pray for no loss of life of course.”
That sums it up, folks.
- Prepared to help during. (”Prepared” meaning playing guitars, cutting cakes, buying shoes, golfing, attending plays, and mansion shopping, while “help” is just devoid of meaning, commitment, or specifics in this context.)
- Move in resources and assets after to deal with property loss. (”Move” being an actual action that implies commitment, as opposed to being “prepared”, “resources and assets” are buttloads more specific than “help”, “property loss” indicating what is worthy of this sort of action, and “after” just so you know just when all this actually matters enough for us to show how much we caaaaaare… about the top 1% making loads more bucks.)
- Pray for no loss of life of course. (”Pray” being, as we all know, the mask of concern that represents the epitome of inaction, “loss of life” being the thing that we don’t give a shit about enough to do more than pray about, and “of course” being the condescending shit that tells you that you’re silly for even asking, now go away and tell me more about the property!)

Manxome: you nailed it.

Mr. Bush, who participated in the call from his ranch in Texas, didn’t ask a single question during the final briefing before Katrina struck on Aug. 29, but he assured soon-to-be-battered state officials: “We are fully prepared.”
Haven’t we heard this over and over? That he never asks a question? That he could give a flying fuck, except for when he gets to ride his bike next or clear some brush?
This is what you get when you take a callous, incurious, ignorant, arrogant, ultra-privileged ne’er-do-well and give him a position of power.
Yes, he is surrounded by Machiavellian fuckheads, but the misdirection comes directly from him. Leadership does matter. How many times must this man fail our country for people to wake the fuck up? The World Trade Center: destroyed. The Pentagon: severely damaged. New Orleans: 80% destroyed.
What kind of insane track record is that?
As of today, his approval rating is at 34%. Cheney’s is at 18%. Is anyone willing to step up again and argue that it is silly to suggest that this may be the worst administration America has ever seen?
Fuck these bastards. And fuck him personally and his god-fearing, self-righteous hypocrisy.

I see what you mean. The Democratic party doesnt exist because of John Roberts and Samuel Alito’s efforts to follow the bible, not the constitution, forever. People dont realize the danger of Bush and the High Cabal. In fact, im the only person, let alone man, to know anything whatsoever about the High Cabal. In fact, JFK was the only President ever to resist them. And guess what happened to him? He got assassinated by the High Cabal themselves. Why did they do that you ask? Because JFK wanted to pull the troops out of Vietnam. This didnt agree with the High Cabal’s agenda, so they drove JFK to an open corner and shot him. See where im going now????? Good.
Indeed, the High Cabal can do absolutely anything it wants to now that Bush is in power. Just one branch lower down from the High Cabal is most threatning part of Bush’s Christian regime. Why? Because unless some brave soul assassinates ALL of them, they get to stay for life and uphold the all-evil Christian agenda, regardless of whomever gets in power! Now do you See where i am going now??????

No, Magus, but I see you’re already gone.

Hmph, I thought you people would get that but you dont. Btw, im a hardcore atheist alright and I know what these religious freaks have done to world. Christianity only has a negative on the world and to say that gawd and jebus dont exist here in against the law. Back off Sean, you Christ-Fucking Worshipper of Bush!!!!!
