You can’t lump all Christians into the “stupid” group for the comments made by Terrell Owens any more than you can lump all African-Americans in that group because Owens also happens to be black. — But I wasn’t doing that, Frank. If you read the post, it says that I referring to a class of people who do this.

I don’t think it’s wrong for a person who was in the tsunami-affected area to think, “My gosh, I was almost a part of that tragedy.” Any of us probably would have had similar thoughts. — Again, this isn’t the point. The point isn’t about thinking what you say here, but about focusing on the “chosen” nature of what happened: “Wow, God spared me; I must be blessed.” Both of these dumb-asses look at God as specifically granting something to them, and that’s the problem (not just thinking “that could have been me”).
